What is PTE Academic and Who is this For?
PTE Academic is a computer-based English test that assesses your academic-level speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. The test is just two hous long and it is taken in the small friendly test center.
PTE Academic is for those who plan to study at a university over cease and need to prove their English Language ability, PTE Academic is also accepted for a work or migration visa for Australia or New Zealand. PTE Academic UKVI version is used for work or study below degree level in the UK. PTE Academic is also recognized by the U.S state Boards of Nursing for work visas.

PTE Academic has basic three parts consist of different type of questions, related to Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking

Part 1: Speaking & Writing
First part of the test is Speaking and Writing, and it has nine different question types except Personal Introduction
Question Types
1. Personal Introduction
The Personal Introduction gives you a chance to become comfortable with the PTE test system while preparing for the speaking and listening sections.
This task is not scored and is designed only for practice and familiarization. You will have 25 seconds to review the prompt and plan your answer, followed by 30 seconds to record your response.
Remember, you can record your response only once. This question will not affect your score and is included only to help develop your
2. Read Aloud
In this task, the text appears on the screen and you have to Read the text aloud, The length of the text is of 60 words. Speaking Skill is assessed in this task, and there is no length of test depends on the item.
3. Repeat Sentence
After listening to a recording of a sentence, repeat the sentence. The prompt length of this test is 3-9 seconds. in this task both listening and speaking skills are assessed within 15 seconds time to answer.
4. Describe Image
An image appears on the screen. and you have to Describe the image in detail. because this is an image so there is no prompt length. Speaking skill is assessed with in tie frame of 40 seconds.
5. Retell Lecture
After listening to or watching a lecture, retell the lecture in your own words. the prompt length is 90 seconds, in this task listening and speaking skills are assessed and you have 40 seconds to respond.
6. Answer Short Question
After listening to a question, answer with a single word or a few words. The length of the prompt is 3-9 seconds and, in this question, listening skill is assessed with in answering time of 10 seconds.
7. Summarize Group Discussion
Listen to a discussion between 3 people for 3 minutes then summarize the discussion in your own words in 2 minutes. This task is for listening and speaking assessment.
8. Respond to a Situation
Listen to and read a description of a situation. Then answer a question about it with an extended response. The prompt text consists of 60 words for speaking Skills Assessment. and the time to respond is in 40 seconds.
9. Summarize Written Text
After reading the text, write a one-sentence summary of the passage. Prompt Length of the Text is up to 300 words. Reading and Writing skills are assessed the answering time limit is 10 minutes.
10. Write Essay
Write a 200–300 word essay on a given topic. the topic prompt is between 2-3 sentences and this is pur Writing skill assessment with in 20 minutes.
Part 2: Reading
This part of the test has got five different types of questions. Because PTE Academic is an integrated skills test, one item type (‘Reading and Writing: Fill in the blanks’) also assesses writing skills.

Part 3: Listening
This part of the test contains eight different question types.
The questions are based on audio or video clips, which begin to play automatically. You hear each audio or video clip once. You are allowed to take notes.
