Terms & Conditions

Course Enrollment, Payment, Code of Conduct & Liability

Welcome to The Academy of IELTS (“the Academy”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your enrollment in our courses (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, Spoken English, Study Abroad services), use of our Digital Portal, and any interactions with our physical centers in Toba Tek Singh (District Court Corner), Multan Cantt, and PirMahal. By enrolling, paying fees, or accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

📌 Quick summary: We are an educational institute committed to your success. These terms protect both students and the Academy. Key points: fees are non-refundable after 7 days, we expect respectful behavior, and we are not liable for personal exam results.

1. Enrollment & Admission

1.1 Enrollment is confirmed only after full or partial payment (as per batch policy) and submission of a completed registration form (online or physical at any branch).
1.2 Students must provide accurate personal information (name, CNIC/passport number, contact details, current English level). Providing false information may lead to immediate termination without refund.
1.3 We reserve the right to refuse admission to any individual without providing a reason (e.g., disruptive history, incomplete documentation).
1.4 Minimum age for enrollment is 16 years. Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the enrollment form.

2. Fees & Payment Terms

2.1 Course fees are displayed at our centers and on our website. The Academy reserves the right to revise fees for future batches with 15 days’ notice.
2.2 Payment methods: Cash (at branches), Bank Transfer, Easypaisa, JazzCash, or credit/debit card (via secure gateway).
2.3 A payment receipt will be issued via email or WhatsApp. Retain it for future reference.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

3.1 Cooling-off period: You may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of enrollment, provided no classes have been attended and Digital Portal access has not been used. After 7 days or after attending any class/accessing portal, no refund will be issued.
3.2 If the Academy cancels a batch due to insufficient enrollment (less than 5 students), a full refund or transfer to another batch will be offered.
3.3 No refunds for Digital Portal monthly subscriptions after 3 days of payment. You may cancel the next billing cycle with 7 days’ notice.
3.4 Study abroad service fees: If a visa is rejected despite complete documentation provided by student, 50% of service fee is refundable. If student withdraws application after university offer, no refund.

⚠️ Important: No refunds are given for “I didn’t get my target band” or “I changed my mind about studying abroad.” We provide coaching and guidance — exam results depend on student effort.

4. Attendance & Missed Classes

4.1 Students are expected to maintain 75% attendance to be eligible for our “free repeat” offer (if applicable).
4.2 Missed classes can be covered via recorded sessions (available on Digital Portal for most batches). No individual make-up classes are provided.
4.3 If a batch is rescheduled due to public holidays or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., center maintenance), students will be notified via WhatsApp at least 24 hours in advance.

5. Digital Portal – Usage Rules

5.1 The Digital Portal is for individual, non-transferable use. Sharing login credentials with others is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate suspension without refund.
5.2 Mock tests and materials are copyrighted by The Academy of IELTS and Pearson/Cambridge (where applicable). Reproduction or distribution is illegal.
5.3 Technical issues: We strive for 99.9% uptime. In case of portal downtime, we will extend access proportionally. No refunds for minor disruptions.
5.4 The portal may be updated without prior notice to improve features.

6. Student Code of Conduct

All students (offline & online) must adhere to the following:

✅ Treat faculty, staff, and fellow students with respect. No harassment, bullying, or discriminatory language.
✅ Mobile phones must be on silent during live classes (offline or Zoom).
✅ No recording of live classes without explicit permission (exceptions for students with disabilities – request in writing).
✅ Cheating on mock tests (e.g., using external help) will lead to portal suspension.
✅ At physical centers: no smoking, no food in classrooms, follow COVID/health guidelines if applicable.

Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in warning, suspension, or expulsion without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including but not limited to: slides, worksheets, mock test questions, video recordings, and templates are the exclusive property of The Academy of IELTS or its licensors (Cambridge, Pearson). Students may use them only for personal study. Any commercial use, reproduction, or sharing online is a breach of these terms and may lead to legal action under Pakistani copyright laws (Copyright Ordinance 1962).

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 The Academy of IELTS provides coaching and guidance. We do not guarantee any specific IELTS/PTE/TOEFL band score or visa approval. Individual results depend on student’s effort, language ability, and external factors (e.g., test day anxiety, IDP/British Council marking).
8.2 To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, the Academy is not liable for:

Loss of academic or visa opportunities due to low test scores.
Technical issues at official test centers (IDP, British Council, Pearson).
Delays in visa processing by embassies.
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8.3 Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by the student in the preceding 6 months.

9. Force Majeure

The Academy shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations if caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, government lockdowns, internet outages, electricity failures, or civil unrest. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative arrangements (e.g., online classes) or extend course duration.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By accepting these Terms, you also consent to our Privacy Policy. We may contact you via WhatsApp/email for course updates, payment reminders, and promotional offers (you may opt out of marketing).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. For material changes (e.g., refund policy, fee structure), we will notify enrolled students via email or WhatsApp at least 15 days in advance. Your continued enrollment after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

12.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
12.2 Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, or the services provided, shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through mediation within 30 days. If mediation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan.
12.3 For students outside Pakistan, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of Pakistani courts and waive any inconvenient forum objections.

13. Termination of Services

The Academy reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrollment immediately, without refund, if:

The student violates the Code of Conduct seriously (e.g., physical assault, cheating, harassment).
The student provides false identity or fraudulent payment details.
The student repeatedly misses classes without communication (absent for 4 consecutive weeks).

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any signed enrollment form, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Academy of IELTS. They supersede any prior oral or written agreements.
