IELTS Writing Task 1 (Academic): Charts, Graphs & Processes

You have 20 minutes to write at least 150 words describing a visual (line graph, bar chart, pie chart, table, map, or diagram).

High-scoring structure

  • Introduction: Paraphrase the question.
  • Overview: Summarise the main trends (no numbers).

IELTS Speaking: Face-to-Face Interview Success

11–14 minutes, 3 parts. It’s a structured conversation with an examiner — not a robot test!

  • Part 1 (4–5 min): Personal questions (home, work, hobbies).
  • Part 2 (3–4 min): Cue card – speak for 1–2 minutes.
  • Part 3 (4–5 min): Abstract discussion related to Part 2.

How to improve fluency

  • Record yourself and listen for hesitation.

The IELTS fee in Pakistan ranges from 68,500 PKR to 72,000 PKR in 2026, depending on your city, test type, and provider. British Council charges 71,320–71,920 PKR, IDP charges 71,300 PKR, and AEO Peshawar offers the lowest rate at 68,500 PKR.

⚠️ Important Update (May 2026): Any source showing 61,500 PKR as the current IELTS fee is using outdated data from 2024-2025. The correct range for 2026 is 68,500–72,000 PKR. Always verify on the official provider website before paying.
